Waste to Energy by wastewater removal

Organic wastes can be valuable for companies as well, by digesting waste to energy including anaerobic treatment.

Waste streams from the industry including treatment of sludge from a wastewater treatment plant can be digested under anaerobic conditions. The created gas can be generated into energy and the heat can be used to keep your digester at the optimal temperature. The energy from your waste can either be used in your own factory or can be sold as green energy.

On water streams containing Nitrogen and Phosphorus you can grow algae. Algae can be used as ground source for biofuels, plastics and artificial products.

Concentrated oils and fats separated from your wastewater can be a source for energy or reused in rendering processes.

Phosphorus can be recovered by addition of specific chemical to create struvite, which can be used a fertilizer.

Your waste and wastewater has value and Nijhuis Water Technology can design systems to recover these valuables for you with waste to energy by wastewater removal.

Aecomix – Sludge & Waste digestion

Nijhuis Water Technology supplies sludge & waste digesters, where under anaerobic circumstances your organic waste material is transferred into biogas, heat, energy and fertilizer. The feed into the process could consist of:

High load organic liquid wastes
Factory organic solids wastes
Sludge from you waste water treatment plant

Depending on the raw materials, Nijhuis Water Technology will select the optimal system. This system can include the following steps: raw material preparation, balancing, mixing, digestion, biogas conditioning, biogas usage and digested sludge processing and digestate treatment.

Manure & Co digestion

Nijhuis Water Technology has a specialized division, Thecogas Biogas, who supplies manure & co digestion systems, where under anaerobic circumstances agriculture wastes are transferred into biogas, heat, energy and fertilizer. The feed into the process could consist of:

Manure of animals
Agriculture & Food factory wastes
Co Substrates, like maize, corn, grass and sugar beets

Depending on the raw materials Nijhuis Water Technology will select the optimal system. This system can include the following steps: raw material preparation, balancing, mixing, digestion, biogas conditioning, biogas usage and digested solids processing and digestate treatment.
